Your guide to the 2023 Mid-South Fair

It’s that time of year again in DeSoto County, Mississippi! The 2023 Mid-South Fair returns to Landers Center in Southaven Sept. 21-Oct. 1. The Fair has been a staple in the Mid-South for more than 160 years, and it keeps getting better and better! Ready to see what’s in store this year?
Fair Food
The Fair wouldn’t be a fair without the FOOD! Everyone’s favorite Pronto Pups, funnel cakes, turkey legs and fried desserts will be waiting. If traditional fair food isn’t your thing, you’re sure to find something to satisfy your taste buds from one of the many food trucks on site.
Music on the Main Stage
Jam out to live music from talented acts on the Main Stage! This year, the Fair is hosting super talented solo acts and groups, including country music stars Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line and Scotty McCreery. On Latino Day (Sept. 24), Latin musicians will perform throughout the day, and on Gospel Day (Oct. 1), seven different acts will fill the day with joyous hymns and tunes. Local artists, like Reagan Strange and Charvey, will take to the stage, as well. Check out the full lineup here. Concerts are free with Fair admission.
Thrill Rides 
Thrill seekers, this one's for you! Whether you enjoy catching some air on the swings, taking in the views from the top of the ferris wheel or getting your adrenaline pumping on one of the many high-speed rides, the Mid-South Fair has it all!
Ground Acts and Attractions
Sure, the Fair is packed with tons of fun, but some of that fun is educational, too, thanks to stellar ground acts and attractions. Get ready to experience a shark and stingray exhibit, a circus and magic show, pig races, a petting zoo and more.
Youth Talent Contest
Is your child the next Justin Timberlake, Lucy Hale or Reagan Strange? Don’t miss out on the Mid-South Fair’s Youth Talent Contest! Young talents are invited to strut their stuff on stage at the Fair. Cash prizes are awarded to the top four acts in both age groups. Plus, the senior division Grand Award winner earns a private audition in Hollywood or New York City, a scholarship of more than $30,000 to Visible Music College and the opportunity to provide special entertainment at the 2024 Mid-South Fair Youth Talent Contest Senior Grand Finals.
Miss Mid-South Fair Pageant
She is beauty, she is grace – she is Miss Mid-South Fair! The annual competition is a favorite for pageant queens across our area. The winner of the coveted title receives scholarship money to go toward their college education, furthering the Fair’s mission of providing educational opportunities to local youth.
Student Art Contest
The Mid-South Fair’s Student Art Contest showcases art pieces from students ages 5 to 18 across the Mid-South. The winners are awarded cash prizes and ribbons for their work, plus their art is displayed at Landers Center throughout the Fair’s run.
