Filet or New York strip? Porterhouse or ribeye? No matter your cut preference, you can find flavorful steaks cooked just right here in DeSoto County, Mississippi.
More than just a steakhouse, AC's Steakhouse Pub in Hernando is owned by locals for locals. Classic cuts on the menu include ribeyes and sirloins, along with a filet wrapped in hickory smoked bacon. Other notable menu items include Crawfish Dip, Shrimp and Grits, burgers, catfish and salmon.
Fratello’s Italian Steakhouse (formerly Uncle Bubba’s BBQ & Smokehouse) just opened in Hernando and is ready to serve you! If you are of the “go big or go home” mindset, we suggest the Tomahawk — a long bone 40-ounce ribeye seasoned and chargrilled to perfection. Their menu includes some Italian fare and old favorites carried over from Uncle Bubba’s.
Head to Ember and Oak Prime in Southaven for casual fine dining with old-school charm. Their surf and turf dish, The Oscar, can’t be missed — an 8-ounce filet atop a jumbo lump crab cake with grilled shrimp, asparagus and béarnaise sauce. For the table (or yourself) we recommend ordering the Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese or Fried Green Tomatoes.
“Always at its prime” is the motto of Southaven’s Mesquite Chophouse, serving up a prime fine-dining experience with dishes that include locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Angus beef is the star of the menu, available as a center cut filet, ribeye or New York strip. If you have an adventurous palate, wild game options include bison, duck, elk, quail and venison.
Magnolia Bend Grille is the definition of a hidden gem. Located in Nesbit, Mississippi, this restaurant is nestled on Bonne Terre's sprawling property and serves up delicious eats. We highly recommend the Bacon Tasting to start, then, of course, you must try the 28-Day Aged Creek Stone Prime New York Strip. Be sure to save room for dessert, too, as head chef Michael Patrick creates sweets too good to share.
The only thing tough about these steaks will be choosing which DeSoto County restaurant to visit. We hope you enjoy!
