The yuletide season is nearly upon us, y’all! That means sweaters, hot cocoa and Christmas trees. To find the perfect tree for your home this holiday season, check out these three spots here in DeSoto County, Mississippi.
Cedar Hill Farm in Hernando
Opens Nov. 18
Choose from a selection of Leyland cypress, Murray cypress and blue ice trees grown on the farm in Hernando. They also import Fraser Fir trees if that’s what you’re looking for. Cedar Hill Farm is always fun for the entire family, so check out the chicken show, enjoy the playground, shop for presents or have a bite to eat. Even Santa visits the farm on weekends!
Merry Christmas Tree Farm in Nesbit

In 1990, the Dole family decided to turn its cattle farm into the Merry Christmas Tree Farm. They thought Christmas trees would be a lot easier to keep up with (ha!). The Doles plant more than 600 trees each year and take great pride in providing families a place to start and continue cherished traditions. During your visit, you can cut your own tree that’s grown on the farm or select from imported options.
Silo Square's Buy A Tree. Change A Life. in Southaven

Pick a pre-cut tree and show your giving spirit at Silo Square’s “Buy A Tree. Change A Life.” 100% of sales are donated to help children in need. Half the proceeds go to Southaven’s Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center and the rest are donated to orphanages around the world.
