Spring is nearly here and that means it’s time to get outside in DeSoto County, Mississippi! From lively outdoor events to local celebrations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during festival season.

R&B Spring Fest
Friday, March 14 at 8 p.m.
Enjoy music from The Isley Brothers and Keith Sweat at The R&B Festival at Landers Center.

Silo Square Arts Festival
Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
Spend the day at the Silo Square Arts Festival! Enjoy live music, kid-friendly activities, plus shop goodies from local vendors, artists, small businesses and more. Proceeds from this event benefit the Palmer Home for Children.

Wheels and Wings Fest
Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Head to Olive Branch City Park for the Wheels and Wings Fest for a ribs and wings competition, a cornhole tournament and a car show. Proceeds from the festival benefit the DeSoto County Dream Center.

Mississippi Alehouse Brewfest
Saturday, April 12 from 1-6 p.m.
Mississippi Ale House and Brew Pub is set to host its 8th annual Brewfest. With over 200 different beers from over 50 breweries, you are sure to stumble upon some rare (and tasty!) finds.

Mudbug Bash
Saturday, April 12 from 6-10 p.m.
In its 21st year, the Mudbug Bash is the place to be on April 12! Spend the evening at the Panola Street Courtyard in Hernando for a night of fun benefiting Palmer Home for Children. Enjoy live music, local bites, drinks, a silent auction, loads of crawfish and more.

Southaven Springfest
Tuesday, April 22 - Saturday, April 26
There’s fun for the whole family at the 45th edition of Springfest in Snowden Grove Park. Get ready for entertainment, carnival rides, games and traditional fair food. The festival will also host the State of Mississippi Barbecue Championship judged by Memphis Barbecue Network.

DeSoto Film Festival
Friday, April 25 - Saturday, April 26
DeSoto Arts Institute’s Film Festival brings entertainment to Mid-South families and attention to talented filmmakers in our area.

51st Annual A’Fair Arts & Crafts Festival
Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Head to Hernando Courthouse Square for a day filled with craft vendors, family fun and delicious food. Proceeds benefit the Optimist Club of Hernando Youth and Community Projects.

Blues for the Blue Crawfish & Blues Festival
Saturday, May 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Support local law enforcement at the 3rd Annual Blues for the Blue Crawfish and Blues Festival. Kid-friendly activities include a Touch-A-Truck from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and then the all you can eat crawfish begins at 5 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Southaven Police Department’s First Responders Benevolence Fund and the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Blue Line Fund.
