Live music and entertainment abound in DeSoto County, Mississippi, this fall! The Landers Center in Southaven is jam-packed with events to suit everyone’s taste. Check out a selection of happenings below!
Music
- The Mid-South Fair (Sept. 22 - Oct. 2) features 20 acts and DJs spread out across nine days. Taking the stage are nationally known acts including LOCASH, Bailey Zimmerman and Ellie Holcomb, along with local favorites Ingram Hill and Reagan Strange.
- Country music fans prepare for two hot shows one week apart. First up, on Sept. 29 is Jon Pardi, then Luke Bryan’s Raised Up Right tour hits the stage on Oct. 6.
- Frequently ranked one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time – Judas Priest will rock the Landers Center stage on Nov. 17.
- Contemporary Christian rock band Casting Crowns will perform on Nov. 19 and southern gospel Gaither Vocal Band bring their Christmas show to town on Dec. 9.
Entertainment
- Sure, the Mid-South Fair has a stellar music lineup but don’t forget about their family-friendly ground acts! This year, attendees will be treated to the Aussie Kingdom which features interactions with wildlife native to Australia; Sea Lion Splash, a presentation showcasing the relationship between rescued sea lions and their handlers; and Wolves of the World, which provides a look into an enigmatic rescued wolf pack. Pig races, pony rides and a petting zoo will also be onsite throughout the Fair’s run.
- Stand-up comedian and award-winning actor Katt Williams is on tour with a new and exciting show that comes to town Thanksgiving weekend on Friday, Nov. 25.
