School’s out for summer! Have you made any fun family plans? Beat the heat with the kiddos and discover these five cool, family-friendly activities in DeSoto County, Mississippi.
Jump around
Take “getting some fresh air” to the next level when you visit Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in Southaven. This indoor park includes interactive games, go-karts, a zip line, rock climbing wall and, of course, lots and lots of trampolines!
Ice, ice baby
Talk about chill! You definitely don’t want to miss out on the *coolest* place in Olive Branch – Mid-South Ice House. Whether you’re new to freestyle ice skating, love to play winter sports or would like to learn more about hockey or figure skating, this space is perfect for the whole family.
The great escape
At Liberation Escape Rooms in Southaven, teamwork is key. Grab the family, and put your knowledge and clue finding skills to the test. All four rooms are uniquely themed, too. Think pirates, knights and castles, a witch’s quarters and a classroom.
Lace ‘em up
Grab the kiddos for a roll around the rink at Skate Odyssey in Horn Lake. Not only is this skating rink equipped with a party room, DJ booth and concession area, you can put your arcade skills to the test and even win some neat prizes, too.
Learn something new
Who’s up for some educational summer fun? Step into yesteryear at the DeSoto County Museum in Hernando. This museum features artifacts and memorabilia in the main building, and also has a restored log cabin built in the 1840s used for educational opportunities onsite, too. It packs learning and entertainment opportunities for visitors of all ages. Admission is free and exhibits rotate throughout the year, making it a great place to visit time and time again.
