Small Business Spotlight: Game Over Arcade Bar

DeSoto County, Mississippi, is home to small businesses that bring character and excitement to the community. Among them is Game Over Arcade Bar, a hidden gem in Southaven where nostalgia meets modern fun.

Terry and Amanda Tongumpun opened Game Over in November 2022, turning Terry’s passion for arcade games into a thriving business. After years of supplying games to other venues, he went independent, choosing Southaven for its strong customer base and the perfect space for his growing collection.

With 41 pinball machines, 15 arcade games, four toddler-friendly games and five crane games, there’s something for everyone. Pinball fans love Metallica and Batman ‘66, while kids flock to all things racing. Game offerings are set to expand this year, including an old-school Whac-A-Mole.

      
The 85% house-made menu offers classics like pizza and nachos alongside unique bites like eggrolls and stromboli. Every month wraps up with “Freeplay Friday,” where families can enjoy unlimited games at a discounted rate. Pinball tournaments happen every Thursday, with special events and women’s-only leagues on select weekends.
