Small Business Spotlight: Blue Haze Farms

Blue Haze Farms in Nesbit is one of DeSoto County, Mississippi’s, best-kept secrets that we want everyone in need of a staycation to know about!

The business began in 2019 when owners Cheryl and Tony Hayes sought the perfect location for their next adventure. “I grew up in Southaven, but have traveled all over the world,” said Cheryl. “There is no place like home. This is our paradise!” Paradise, indeed.

Situated on Blue Haze Lake, this farm provides the ultimate glamping experience. From upscale tents and a rustic cottage to a serene lake with fishing and kayaking, this farm stay is like no other.

     

• Chic Retreat: A boho tent that boasts a luxurious queen size bed with additional cots. The cozy space includes board games and outdoor theater equipment, too.
• Longhorn House: This rustic cottage has all of the amenities of home. The “tiny house” has a wrap-around porch, outdoor grill, vintage record player and smart TV.

     

• Magnolia House: The original farmhouse on the property will be quite the treat for guests when it opens this fall. It’s ideally suited for a family reunion or friend getaway. The spacious home sleeps 13 people and has themed rooms, a video arcade game, outdoor dining area and fire pit
• Grazeland Trailer: This offering is a 1972 airstream that is being fully restored to its former glory. It will include a full kitchen, full-size bed and bathroom and will overlook the gorgeous lake with beautiful sunset views.

     

It wouldn’t be a farm without the animals! Blue Haze is home to longhorn cattle, mini goats, dogs and cats. The Hayes’ partner with 901goats for goat yoga, a monthly event where you can relax your body and mind while surrounded by adorable creatures. Horse lovers, you can rejoice, too!
