Small Business Spotlight: Ash’s Irish Pub

24 June / 2024

Ash’s Irish Pub opened in Olive Branch’s Old Towne Parish in April, making it one of the first businesses to welcome customers in the newly renovated lifestyle and entertainment district.

Ash’s is owned by Justin Ash, a veteran who got the idea to open a restaurant of this kind after visiting a family friend’s Irish pub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When he returned, he made a checklist in about 10 minutes of what he wanted his own pub to be like someday. Safe to say his dreams have come true!

Upon entering, you immediately feel like you’ve been transported to the Emerald Isle. The space is decorated with old-world Ireland trinkets, like wine barrels, street lanterns, stained glass windows, a walnut wood bar and a train station clock. Above the dining room, you’ll find a charming lounge filled with Queen Anne-style sofas and high-backed chairs situated around circular tables.

Guests should come hungry! The pub serves traditional Irish dishes Justin’s grandmother taught him to cook when he was a teenager. Think Bangers & Mash, Shepherd’s Pie, Fish & Chips, Poutine and more. Ash’s serves beer, too – heavy on the Guinness.

Ash’s Irish Pub is open Wednesday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. It’s closed Monday and Tuesday. Stop by the next time you’re near Old Towne Parish and let ‘em know we sent you.
