‘Tis the season for festive fun and by festive fun, we mean immersive holiday light shows. DeSoto County, Mississippi, is home to three enchanting light displays the whole family will enjoy.
Southern Lights in Southaven
This drive-through experience winds through a 116-acre park decorated with half a million twinkling lights. Cars can tune their radios to select FM stations to enjoy Christmas music as they travel through Southaven’s Central Park. Southern Lights is open nightly from 5-10 p.m. through Dec. 31, including Christmas Day! Admission is $10 for cars, $15 for vans and $30 for buses.
Light Garden in Olive Branch
Bundle up to enjoy Light Garden in Olive Branch’s City Park. The walk-through light show and Christmas festival is filled with larger-than-life displays, live performances, shopping opportunities, an 18-hole mini golf course and free photos with Santa from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $14 for adults and $9 for kids. Stop by nightly through Jan. 1 from 6-10 p.m., with the exception of Christmas Day.
Christmas Traditions at Cedar Hill Farm in Hernando
Head to Cedar Hill Farm in Hernando for Christmas Traditions fun. Grab a combo ticket to enter the farm and access to the light show, tractor ride and playground. You can also grab dinner at The Barn Restaurant and visit with Santa. The light show is a 20-minute experience featuring displays synchronized to Christmas tunes and a narrated story about the birth of Jesus. Christmas Traditions is open nightly through Dec. 23 from 4-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for kids.
