DeSoto County: A haven for youth sports

Snowden Grove Park

Southaven’s Snowden Grove Park is the centerpiece of outdoor youth sports in DeSoto County. With 17 state-of-the-art baseball fields, Snowden Grove hosts the Dizzy Dean Baseball World Series each summer and is a host venue for Perfect Game baseball. It’s not just baseball that brings families to this park – there are also 12 tennis courts, seven full-size soccer fields, a miniature golf course, fishing ponds, walking trails and the BankPlus Sports Center, an indoor baseball practice facility with an indoor soccer field.

Greenbrook Park

You’ll also find Greenbrook Park in Southaven. This park has been developed to be a home for youth and travel softball tournaments. With eight pristine fields and indoor practice facilities, young ladies get the star treatment at Greenbrook Park. The Dizzy Dean Softball World Series is played here.

Gatorade Fieldhouse

Hernando’s Gatorade Fieldhouse is the largest indoor sports complex in North Mississippi. It's home to four NCAA-regulation basketball courts, open-air turf fields and a 30,000-square-foot volleyball training facility.

George M. Harrison Municipal Soccer Complex

One of the newest additions to DeSoto County’s sports scene, this park in Olive Branch is currently home to five soccer fields, with two more on the way. As one of the two largest soccer complexes in the county, this park is one of the host fields for Lobos Rush soccer, a USA soccer affiliated program.

Olive Branch City Park

In the City of Olive Branch lies a 135-acre park with several outdoor amenities, including five tennis courts, 15 fields for baseball and softball, an eight-lane walking track, miles of path with exercise stations, a mountain bike trail and much more. 

Latimer Lakes Park

Latimer Lakes Park in Horn Lake features 120-acres geared for the outdoors. The park features a nature walking trail, four lighted tennis courts, a volleyball court, nine baseball fields, two soccer fields, two football fields and two disc golf courses. Looking for something more? Latimer Lakes also features three lakes for fishing, a skatepark and a playground for the little ones.
